Who says you can’t chill over the summer drinking a cocktail with a kick? Get this Jala at Me cocktail recipe below and add a little spice to your summer.
Ingredients
1 oz. tequila
1 cup grapefruit juice
2 dashes of jalapeño-infused simple syrup (see recipe below)
1 Tbsp. lime juice
grapefruit slices to garnish
Make the Simple Syrup
- Bring one cup of water to a boil.
- Add two cups of sugar.
- Stir until sugar has dissolved and a syrup-y consistency is achieved.
- Remove from the heat.
- While the syrup cools, cut a jalapeño pepper into slices.
- Transfer the simple syrup into a sealable container and add the jalapeño slices.
- Refrigerate for at least 12 hours.
Steps
- Add one cup of ice into a blender.
- Add the tequila, grapefruit juice, simple syrup, and lime juice, and blend until smooth.
- Pour blended mixture into a large margarita glass and garnish with a large slice of grapefruit and a slice of jalapeño.
