Living a life of luxury doesn’t always go hand-in-hand with living tiny, but when you’re a superstar couple then just about anything is possible.
Co-host of the television show Extra and television and film producer Tracey Edmonds, along with pro football hall-of-famer and NFL network analyst Deion Sanders, decided to take their long-distance relationship to the next level by getting their first (tiny) home together.
With Sanders living in Texas and Edmonds in California, a miniature home was the perfect option for the couple to have some alone time away from their combined extended family when Edmonds comes to Texas. And downsizing was something that Sanders had already been a fan of – even if it was on a much grander scale in the past – having gone from a nearly 30,000-square-foot mansion to a 7,000-square-foot home.
“You make it, you’re successful, so you build this monstrosity of a home,” explained Sanders. “Then you start living in it and over time you get wisdom. And you say ‘I don’t really need all of that.’”
Naturally, the next stop was actually going tiny with a 600-square-foot getaway with the help of our Tiny House Nation experts John and Zack. But with two high-profile clients, John and Zack had their work cut out for them to satisfy the celebrities. Here’s what Sanders and Edmonds requested:
• Premium fishing space
• Bathroom with multiple shower heads and two sinks
• Theater space for movies and snacks
• Yoga area
And to top it all off, they Tiny House Nation dynamic duo were asked to meet the deadline for the power couple’s five-year anniversary.
