There are few things in life that can compare to Kanye West’s love of all things Kanye. That’s why it’s so surprising to hear how he reacted when his daughter North West literally flushed his music down the toilet. Kanye and Kim Kardashian explained how it all went down on this week’s episode of Kocktails with Khloé.
It was just two months ago that Kanye’s highly anticipated album, The Life of Pablo, was released. After going through multiple album titles and track changes, Kanye jumped over the necessary hurdles to bring the people an album they wanted. But one obstacle we didn’t know about was North’s potty incident.
Kim explained that little North flushed Kanye’s phone, filled to the brim with music from the artist, down the toilet.
“Kanye had every single rap in his iPhone before he started really working on [The Life of] Pablo, and then North flushed it down the toilet,” Kim said. “And they could not be retrieved.”
Now, we’ve come to expect certain reactions from the rapper throughout Kanye’s heyday (see: Taylor Swift Mic Snatch, “George Bush does not care about black people,” etc.), but surprisingly he kept his cool after his music made a splash before it was ever released.
“And he didn’t even get mad,” Kim said next to a smiling Kanye. “I would’ve at least, like, screamed.”
